First, I should mention that this is a long story—around 90 issues, give or take. Second, you don’t need to be really that familiar with Superman or Spider-Man to enjoy it.
One thing worth noting is that Superman and Spider-Man face off as if they exist in the same universe, even though we all know that’s not really how it works. However, since this is a non-canon story, we'll ignore that little detail.
As for the story itself, it’s solid—mainly because it was written by Gerry Conway, a fantastic writer best known in The Amazing Spider-Man series for making bold, often controversial decisions—like killing off some of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains. So get ready!
